Don't make the same miSTEAK twice!

What did you accomplish this week?
This week I started working on my presentation for the upcoming TedX event where I, along with all my classmates, will present out full projects from beginning to start to the public. I am extremely anxious for this event because it's the perfect time to show everyone my project and introduce them to the world of dieting. My teacher, Mrs. Bryson, suggested a new website for us to use called Canva. This website is like a more elaborate version of Google Docs. It's completely free (as long as you sign in with Google) and offers a whole variety of templates and designs for you to use. This has helped me develop and evolve my presentation even more than what a standard site would, making it more interesting and exciting but sophisticated.

What are you working on right now?
Right now I am working on my script for when I am presenting. The objective was to have limited wording on you slides so that you can vocalize the ideas presented instead of having the audience read off captions. This gives me the opportunity to touch on more topics than just the ones planned since I have control over the flow of the speech. I am thinking to start with the basics of vegetarianism, explaining how it works and the benefits, not only to your health but to the environment as well (I will probably use a couple of statistics to balance it the wordiness out and clarify well).

What do you plan to do next week?
Next week I will probably have to rehearse my presentation thoroughly so that it goes smoothly and as planned. I have some doubts as to how it will turn out but, overall, I am fairly excited to see how everyone else's projects turned out as well. This whole process has been very fun to experience and it is nice to have a solid ending point to not only the school year, but to this extensive project.
