Unanticipated Obstacles

Ambivalence/Problems
This week I will be posting about my progress, difficulties, and a new set of more realistic deliverables for each month until June. The last set of deliverables was made with much uncertainty since it was set in the beginning of the year. This time I hope that it will be more resonable and accurate than the last.

Progress and Difficulties
1) How is your project coming along?
I am quite iffy on my project. Since I am going vegetarian for only a month I have to find something to do for the other 8 months. So far I've been researching on all aspects of vegetarianism but there is only so much to research. I also have to create a journal of what I eat for each meal of the month. Besides that, I don't have much to do. This is the one difficulty that I am going through at this moment. I would like to interview some college professor or someone who is a professional in this field. Reaching out to people will help open up my comfort zone so I will get more than one benefits from this idea.

2) What specific steps will you take in class to work toward your goal? How will you spend your time?
In class, I should ask around to find more ideas and answers to my questions. This will be helpful to my situation because I will be able to hear other peoples' opinions and perspective on my project. As for the second question, I feel like I should be spending my time more wisely because I am a little stuck on what to do and am basically wasting time. I want to find some more quality things to do and be prepared for the thirty days. This way I will be doing things more effectively and less leisurely than my current status.

3) What resources will you need to bring to class to accomplish work?
Honestly there is not much that I can physically bring to class. Mentally though, I should bring a good mindset with fresh ideas. And since every Tuesday we are given time to start and finish our blog post in class I should be able to post content with better quality. In order to do this, I need better ideas to post about, so in a way this somewhat relates to the second question. Because I don't have anything to bring to class, I will have to be able to accomplish work without much resources.

4) As your guide (referring to Mrs. Bryson), is there anything I can do in class to help you?
As stated many times previously, my sole problem is finding things to work on. If you have any good ideas I would like to try them out. Currently I will take any ideas given to me if they are practical. Other than that, I think I am doing perfectly fine, thank you.

  • JUNE 1-Present about your idea and experience on vegetarianism also including your journal and tips to help people who are considering to go vegetarian

Photo of the Week
I have just found a website that has many delicious vegetarian dishes along with their nutritional facts. This is the link if you want to go check it out: http://www.eatthis.com/protein-vegetarian-meals/. This specific picture shows Avocado Couscous Grapefruit Salad with Honey Lime Dressing, which to me sounds so delicious. It has 588 calories, 32 g fat (8 g saturated), 288 mg of sodium, 68.4 g carbs, 15.4 g fiber, 11.3 g sugars, 18.1 g protein.

Conclusion of Blog Post
This blog post has helped me realize what I need to work on and what I can do to solve my problem. My new set of deliverables makes more sense than the last and I can see more clearly what I need to get done. I would say that today was quite a success in many ways.
